TD Bank will keep its name on Boston’s sports arena and remain the official bank of the Boston Bruins through 2045.

The bank said in a statement today that it has extended its agreement with Delaware North, owner and operator of the arena, to keep its name on TD Garden for another 20 years. TD Bank has held the naming rights for TD Garden since 2005, and the agreement was set to expire in 2025. The deal also renewed TD Bank’s status as the official bank of the Boston Bruins

Financial terms of the deal will not be disclosed, TD Bank said in the statement.

“We are proud to deepen our commitment to Boston and Greater New England by extending our naming rights to one of the world’s most recognized and beloved arenas – the ‘TD Garden’,” Leo Salom, president and CEO of TD Bank, said in the statement. “We also want to thank Delaware North and the Boston Bruins for continuing a relationship that began in 2005 and continues through 2045. Serving our customers and building stronger communities brings us together as does the TD Garden, and we couldn’t be more excited about what the future holds for us all.”

As the official bank of the Boston Bruins, TD Bank’s name will appear on the helmets of Bruins players through the 2044-45 season, the statement said. TD Bank said it will also sponsor initiatives with the Bruins throughout the hockey season, including youth hockey events, “Hockey is for Everyone” night and “TD Bank Mini 1-on-1.”

As part of the agreement, TD Bank will continue its Small Business Takeover events, giving local small businesses advertising opportunities at TD Garden at least twice per season for the duration of a game. The Bruins and TD Bank will also provide blocks of tickets for youth groups and New England-based community organizations to attend home games.

“We are proud to continue our relationship with TD Bank as they share our pride in providing a first-class experience for our fans, teams and long-term commitment to our community,” Delaware North CEO Charlie Jacobs said in the statement. “TD Garden is the heart of our strong Boston tradition in sports and entertainment, and the Boston Bruins are about to celebrate their centennial – so it’s a really exciting time and we are proud to continue into this next chapter together with TD Bank.”

The deal will also see TD Bank commit more than $15 million to programs making the arts more accessible and inclusive. The commitment includes two new programs: TD Guest List, which will provide complimentary tickets to TD Garden events to a nominated individual or group from an underserved or underrepresented community, and the TD Garden House Artist program, which will commission local artists from underrepresented communities to create art in and around TD Garden.

TD Bank customers will also see new benefits, including a 15 percent discount at the Bruins ProShop, free admission to The Sports Museum located in TD Garden and “fast lanes” at some concession lines.
