A new analysis of Boston-area rent increases says Waltham saw the fastest growth in 2019. Rents in the Watch City rose $184 in the past year and now average $2,569, the largest net increase in the Bay State, Rent Cafe reported.

But what does that buy you? The city’s got a popular restaurant row along Moody Street, a new Roche Bros. supermarket downtown and a movie theater, plus thousands of jobs nearby.
