Downtown Worcester’s Mercantile Center has a new tenant as engineering and environmental consultancy Tighe & Bond opts to relocate its Worcester office.

Tighe & Bond signed a multi-year lease with Franklin Realty Advisors LLC, majority member interest holder and developer of Mercantile Center, for approximately 15,814 square feet of class A office space at 120 Front St. in downtown Worcester.

“Tighe & Bond has had a significant presence in downtown Worcester for over 10 years. This expansion of space, and continued commitment to downtown is a significant statement to Worcester. They will certainly be a great addition to Mercantile Center,” Don Mancini, principal of Kelleher & Sadowsky Assoc. and leasing agent for this transaction, said in a statement.

In business for over a century throughout New England, Tighe & Bond will relocate its 56 Worcester-based employees from the 13th floor of the Sovereign Tower, located across the street from Worcester City Hall in downtown, to Mercantile Center this month.
