Professional services firm Core States Group and electrical equipment manufacturer Socomec Inc. have signed two leases for office space in Watertown.

Core States will occupy 4,500 square feet in the brick-and-beam building at 9 Galen St. owned by The RMR Group, while Socomec leased 5,700 square feet. Both companies are relocating from Cambridge.

Cresa’s John Coakley represented Core States Group while Patrick Verbeke from KW Commercial represented Socomec Inc.

The four-building Riverbend complex was converted into office space in 1987 and recently updated with updated lobbies, a new fitness center and shared conference space. Colliers’ James Elcock, John Carroll III, Bill Lynch, Jason Rexinis and Nora Smith represented ownership in the recent transactions.
