IT management platform company Continuum has signed a seven-year lease for a new 25,000-square-foot corporate headquarters at 99 High St. in Boston’s Financial District.

Continuum hired Boston-based Baker Design Group to revamp the space into an open-format office, said William Barrack, managing director for leasing agent JLL. The 730,000-square-foot tower is owned by TIAA-CREF.

“They built out a world-class facility,” Barrack said.

A track encircles the new Continuum offices, providing opportunities for walking meetings. The office space includes a mix of quiet alcoves and collaborative workspace, a café, meditation room and activity rooms equipped with ping-pong and cornhole games.

Continuum was previously located at 100 Summer St. The move was prompted by Continuum’s growth, CEO Michael George said in a statement. Continuum has 1,200 employees worldwide and plans to add 200 positions in the next year, including engineering, product, sales and marketing jobs. The lease includes an option to expand to additional floors.

The office suite on the 31st floor was last occupied by AIG.

Downtown landlords are recruiting tech companies to fill vacancies in Financial District office towers left behind by downsizing in the financial and legal industries.

99 High Street 31st FloorLED lighting manufacturer Lumenpulse recently relocated from 268 Summer St. in Fort Point to 10 Post Office Square for expansion, while security software company EIQ leased 12,300 square feet at 60 State St. DataRobot recently subleased 31,113 square feet at One International Place from PayPal, in a relocation from 61 Chatham St.

NAI Hunneman Executive Vice President Peter Evans and Vice President Ben Sutton working in conjunction with NAI’s Brannen Goddard in Atlanta represented DataRobot in the transaction. The sub-landlord was represented by Karyn McFarland and Matt Twombly from Avison Young.

“International Place offered Data Robot move-in ready space that accommodates their current growth as well as future expansion needs,” Evans said in a statement. “The plug-and-play nature of the space allowed us to complete the transaction quickly so our client could make their move as fast and efficient as possible.”
