Beverly-based Windover Construction has begun preconstruction on a pair of new residence halls for Middlesex School in Concord.

Designed by Boston-based CBT Architects, the projects will update Middlesex School’s Clay House residence and add a new four-story, 36-bed residence hall. The Clay House project will be completed during the summer vacation, and the new residence hall will be built between August 2015 and July 2016. The steel framed structure will feature a masonry façade and slate roofs inspired by the school’s New England setting.

Clay House enabling work started while students were away during their March break, and the fast-track renovations will be completed over the upcoming summer in time for the new school year. Preconstruction has also started on the new residence hall, with the bulk of construction to take place from August 2015 to July 2016.

Founded in 1901, the independent boarding and day school has 375 students in grades 9 through 12.
