A new simulation center at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center’s Burlington provides a realistic health care setting for training in new techniques and crisis response.
The facility includes a functional operating and exam room, simulation spaces, an observation room and a classroom equipped with moveable walls to accommodate a range of group sizes.
Architects Margulies Perruzzi have completed six previous projects for LHMC including pathology lab improvements, COVID testing sites and an endoscopy department.
Other project team members included construction manager Columbia Construction, audio-visual consultants Red Thread, engineering firms R.W. Sullivan and CMTA, and Simulation IQ.
