Become A ‘Fan’ Of Barre Savings Bank, Help Donate To Local Schools

Guy H. Boyer, president and CEO of Barre Savings Bank presents a check to Chris Nosel from the Quabbin Regional School District. Barre Savings Bank has donated $2 for each new Facebook fan who signed up as of last month to a local school and an educational foundation.

The contribution will be shared by the Quabbin Education Foundation for Students & Teachers (QUEST) and the Wachusett Regional School District, to help meet their technology needs.

While the result was actually 41 fans shy of the deadline goal of 500 fans, the bank decided to donate $1,000 to the two schools, said Guy H. Boyer, president and CEO.

"We are happy to welcome so many fans to our Facebook page," said Boyer. "It’s a great way for us to keep in touch not only with our customers, but with many other residents and businesses in the communities we serve. Our fans will find staff news and photos, community updates, bank specials, and lots more."
