James M. Liston has been appointed to the board of directors of Reading Co-operative.

 "Mr. Liston has had a very accomplished career and is a dedicated member of the Reading community; we believe he represents a strong addition to ensuring our continued success," said Julieann Thurlow, bank president and CEO.

Liston is a founding partner of the Boston law firm Bartlett Hackett Feinberg P.C. and concentrates on creditors’ rights and insolvency matters. He represents a wide variety of clients in insolvency proceedings in various industries including insurance, mortgage lending, construction, manufacturing, retail, and real estate. Additionally, he represents sellers and purchasers of insolvent businesses. 

He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association as well as the American Bankruptcy Institute, and has written numerous articles and lectured extensively on insolvency and creditors’ rights issues.
