Veolia North America’s 150-employee local workforce is settling into new offices in downtown Boston, relocating within the Financial District to 100 Federal St.

The utility and environmental services provider now occupies 18,000 square feet on the third floor of the BXP-owned tower.

Veolia was previously headquartered at 53 State St. The new offices place a priority on collaboration, and contain a mix of workspaces, meeting areas and social gathering spots, Veolia announced this week.

Veolia recently acquired two local companies, New England Disposal Technologies and New England MedWaste, expanding its market share in the two categories.

“This new office location will allow us to engage with, attract and retain talent by tapping into a robust workforce centered in Boston, and to establish ourselves as an employer of choice as we continue to grow in the region,” CEO of Veolia Environmental Solutions and Services Bob Cappadona said in a statement.

In January, Veolia and Concord-based GreenLabs announced a new agreement to recycle lab plastics, using a medical waste processing center that Veolia operates in Middleton.
