Berkshire Bank

Berkshire Bank employees completed more than 20 community service projects as part of the bank’s company-wide week of service last month. The effort included the highest number of employee participants and most projects undertaken during a single week in the company’s history.

Citizens Bank

Citizens Bank and NECN announced Project New Hope as a 2015 Champion in Action in the category of Strengthening Communities through Veterans Support. Project New Hope will receive $35,000 in unrestricted funding, media coverage and extensive promotional and volunteer support for its outstanding work.

Clinton Savings Bank

Clinton Savings Bank will hold a fundraising event called Bump, Set, Spike to raise money for Homes for our Troops. The organization provides mortgage-free, specially adapted homes nationwide for severely injured veterans to enable them to rebuild their lives.

Dedham Institution for Savings Foundation

The Dedham Institution for Savings Foundation donated $1,500 to the Martha Jones School PTO Inc. to help fund the purchase of Chromebooks.

First Niagara Foundation

The First Niagara Foundation, the nonprofit charitable foundation of First Niagara Bank, granted $10,000 to HAPHousing. Funding from this grant will be used to support HAPHousing’s First-Time Homebuyer Education Workshop series.
