Just in time for the annual college invasion, a neighborhood mainstay has relocated and reopened within Related Beal’s Kenmore Square portfolio.

Family-owned pub Cornwall’s relocated this week to 644 Beacon St., next door to its original location. The replacement space features a larger copper bar, exposed concrete walls and private dining space, Related Beal announced Monday. Wood banquettes from the original location, which opened in 1973, were reused and reupholstered for the new space.

The pub’s move was prompted by Related Beal’s redevelopment plans after acquiring a nine-building portfolio which it leased from Boston University in 2016.
