Arce Joins MassHousing Board of Directors

Gov. Deval Patrick recently appointed Pedro L. Arce, president and chief executive officer of Veritas Bank, to MassHousing’s board of directors.

Arce has a wealth of experience in the financial industry, particularly in inner-city banking and working with emerging markets, according to the bank.

Arce has also held senior positions with TD Banknorth, Bank Boston, Nuestra Communidad CDC and the Metropolitan Area Planning Council.

In addition, he has led a number of community development initiatives in Lawrence, including development of the first bilingual SBA Center in the country, the establishment of Lawrence’s first four-year college campus, Cambridge College, and creation of the youth development center Adelante.
