A Boston architectural firm’s latest educational sector project includes renovations and a new building at a Marlborough charter school.

Finegold Alexander architects will provide design services for the Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School. The project includes a new multipurpose building, fitouts of a previous office building and redesign of the property’s traffic patterns.

Serving more than 30 communities, AMSA occupies a three-building campus for students in grades 6-12 at a former office park located at 165, 199 and 201 Forest St.

Two floors at 165 Forest St. will be converted from office space into classrooms, laboratories and administrative space, and a new 14,000-square-foot multipurpose building will be constructed on the campus. The project also includes changes to site circulation and drop-off areas.

Finegold Alexander’s past projects in the K-12 education sector include the Central Catholic Innovation and Wellness addition in Lawrence, Gibbs School in Arlington, Eliot Innovation School in Boston and Methuen High School.

“While the academic program at AMSA is thriving, our team was able to recognize the need to align the school’s various facilities to create a cohesive environment to support teaching and learning,” Regan Shields Ives, principal and K-12 studio leader at Finegold Alexander, said in a statement.
