Banker & Tradesman brought home two awards Saturday night at the New England Newspaper & Press Association’s annual Better Newspaper Competition.

The paper won first place for infographics in the weekly newspaper category for graphics related to housing data. "These infographics are carefully executed, clear and to the point," the judges said. "Simplicity is key in infographics and these are exemplary in that regard."

The paper also won for overall design and presentation.

"This publication’s design imparts a sense of strong planning and attention to detail," the judges wrote. "It’s a pleasure to read."
