A 22-unit apartment portfolio steps from the Massachusetts Statehouse traded for $9.8 million in its first change of ownership since 2007.

Boston Realty Advisors represented the seller, a realty trust managed by Allston-based Mount Vernon Co., in the transaction at 63-65 Hancock St.

The buyer, Faith Hancock LLC, lists a Belmont-based Coolidge Landing LLC as manager and Fan Wu of Somerville as resident agent.

The purchase price equates to nearly $445,455 per unit. Hingham Institution for Savings provided $6.37 million in mortgage financing.

The two-building portfolio totals 12,200 square feet and includes a private rear courtyard, two studios, 17 one-bedroom units and a trio of three-bedroom units.

The property previously sold for $4.95 million in 2007.

“This is a quality asset, and it shows that well-located real estate is trading today regardless of what is going on in the world,” Boston Realty Advisors Associate Director Andrew Herald said in a statement. “Beacon Hill is one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in the country.”
