A Danish biotech company is swapping its current space for a larger office and lab facility in Boston’s Fort Point.

Zealand Pharma A/S leased 10,600 square feet at 44 Farnsworth St., part of Nuveen’s Fort Point office portfolio that was acquired in 2016.

The Danish firm develops peptide-based medicines and recently received FDA approval for an injection treatment for diabetes. The company previously occupied a smaller space at 34 Farnsworth St.

JLL’s Bobby Jangro and Tucker Hansen represented Zealand Pharma in the lease transaction, while JLL’s Dan Cavanaugh and Patrick Nugent represented Nuveen.
