Blue Hills Bank opened its newest branch in Westwood.

The branch, at 171 University Ave., boasts a universal banker model, removing the glass from behind the teller line and allowing bankers to transition easily to the customer service desks to minimize wait times. It also has a kid-friendly area with games based on financial literacy.

Blue Hills celebrated the opening of the branch, its 11th overall, with a ribbon cutting.

The bank also presented a $10,000 grant to the Westwood Council on Aging from the Blue Hills Bank Charitable Foundation to mark the occasion.
