Blue Hills Bank recently recruited a former Santander banker to manage its coming location in Boston’s Seaport District.
The bank named Andrew Vebber vice president and branch manager of the location it anticipates opening this fall at 87 Seaport Blvd.
“It was imperative that we have a strong leader with a proven track record for our new Seaport branch as this is our opportunity to build long lasting partnerships with progressive companies and residents in the area,” President and CEO William M. Parent said in a statement. “Andrew is the person to spearhead this new venture, and we are thrilled to have him on board.”
Previously, Vebber managed a tier one flagship office for Santander Bank and was also selected as the manager to launch a de novo branch location at Boston Medical Center. Before he worked for Santander, Vebber was a financial center manager and vice president at Citibank.
He is also a graduate of the UMass-Boston Center for Collaborative Leadership Cohort for 2015 and serves on the board of directors for the anti-homelessness organization City Mission.
