An unnamed buyer has purchased a five-unit brick apartment building at 484 Commercial St. in Boston’s North End neighborhood for $1.6 million.

The property was last assessed for $1.4 million, according to records obtained by The Warren Group, publisher of Banker & Tradesman.

Boston-based NAI Hunneman’s Robert Tito, executive vice president and principal, and sales associate Dan McGee represented the seller and procured the buyer in the transaction, according to a statement.

"We utilized a ‘call for offers approach’ with a competitive asking price which resulted in 45 showings and 17 offers on the property," said Tito. "Our approach, combined with the building’s strategic location in the North End/Waterfront, made it an appealing asset."

The North End property contains five one-, two-, and three-bedroom units and approximately 5,900 square feet, according to a statement. There is also one four-bedroom, two-story penthouse with a private roof deck.
