The Bridgewater Police Department is actively searching for a man involved in robbing a Citizens bank earlier this week.

On Tuesday at approximately 2:46 p.m., police responded to a report of a robbery the Citizens branch at 755 Bedford St.

Video surveillance shows that the suspect entered the bank and displayed a large dark-colored revolver, demanding cash from the teller. He fled on foot around the building with an undetermined amount of cash. The Bridgewater K-9 Unit conducted a search of the area, but did not locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a black man, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing royal blue sweatpants, a blue vest, a black long sleeve shirt, a grey hooded sweatshirt, a multicolored flat brimmed baseball hat and a black scarf covering his face.
