British-born commercial real estate advisory and brokerage firm Savills announced it’s buying T3 Advisors, a specialist in life sciences tenant representation.

T3 was founded in 2001 and is focused on Boston, New York City and the San Francisco Bay area. The move, Savills said in a statement announcing the deal, will help T3 “accelerate the growth of its unique real estate and workplace services across the US, UK and Europe, as well as the Asia Pacific.”

T3 founder and CEO Roy Hirshland will become a vice chairman at Savills and will continue to lead the office as it rebrands as “T3 Advisors, A Savills Company.” T3 Managing Partners Austin Barrett, David Bergeron, and Mark Cote will become executive vice presidents and continue in leadership roles with Savills.

“The acquisition of T3 will further amplify the life science and technology industry advisory services that Savills can provide to clients on a global basis,” Savills global CEO Mark Ridley said in a statement. “These are key growth sectors for us and are integral to our continued strategic expansion across North America.”
