A Brookline townhome rental development from Chestnut Hill Realty will offer its units at roughly $4,300 plus two months’ free rent as it begins leasing.

The 48-unit project adds units to the World War II-vintage Hancock Village development, a 789-townhome rental development near the Brookline/West Roxbury line.

“We’re very excited to bring these modern, state-of-the-art townhomes to Brookline, which add diversity to the town and are adjacent to Baker School (K-8), as well as provide much-needed affordable and market rate housing,” Chestnut Hill Realty CEO Ed Zuker said in a statement. “With this new housing, one will not have to go far to find individual townhomes with convenient adjacent shopping, easy access to the City and the Longwood Medical Area, plus bus service to the Green Line.”

Built under the state’s Chapter 40B affordable housing law, the project will offer its market-rate units at $4,290 to $4,330 depending on size, according to the listing website, while the affordable units will be offered at less than 80 percent of area median income. Two months’ free rent are also being offered. All units have three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.

Finishes include central air conditioning, in-unit washer and drier, quartz countertops, stainless steel GE appliances, hardwood floors and custom maple kitchen cabinets.

The project compliments Chestnut Hill Realty’s ongoing renovations of Hancock Village units. The company has fully rehabbed over 500 townhomes in the last five years, updating kitchens, bathrooms, central heat and air conditioning, in-unit washer/dryers and a variety of layouts, including open plans.
