The Bruins’ new head coach, Bruce Cassidy, and his wife, Julie Cassidy, bought a home at 53 Hutchinson Road in Winchester on July 21 for $2 million.

Cassidy, who previously coached in Providence and had a 14-year career as a player, including five seasons in the NHL as a defenseman with the Chicago Blackhawks.

The six-bedroom, 5,000-square-foot home was completely renovated in 2015 and is located across the street from Winchester Country Club, just seven miles north of the city, which is a big improvement for Cassidy, who had been commuting from Providence.
