EMD Millipore Corp. has acquired its 4-year-old Burlington research campus from the original developer for $200 million.

The 280,000-square-foot Life Science Center at 400 Summit Drive was developed by Burlington-based Gutierrez Cos. as a $115 million build-to-suit project for EMD Millipore, which is the life science arm of German pharmaceutical company Merck KGaA.

Designed as MilliporeSigma’s North American end-to-end biodevelopment center, the campus includes office and lab space, a call center and manufacturing space, along with conference facilities.
