Jenkins, co-founder and vice- president of Canton-based builders Can-Four Corp., has served as president of the Builders Association of Greater Boston (BAGB), led HBAM’s education efforts and has been active in the public policy committee.

HBAM said it represents more than 1,500 companies working in the residential construction industry and advocates for public policy changes to support new home construction.

In addition, Walter J. Tomala Jr., president of TNT General Contracting Inc. of Westfield, was installed as president elect; John DeShazo, a Milton resident and president of FBN Construction, was installed as senior vice president; Michael McDowell, owner of the Building Inspector of America, was installed as vice president; Rich Gagnon of Gagnon Consulting Inc. in Foxboro was named secretary; and Robin Ward of the Mid Cape Home Center in Hyannis was named treasurer.

"I am honored to represent the more than 1,500 builder members of our organization in advocating for a better climate for new home construction and highlighting the many important ways builders contribute to the economic and social fabric of our communities," Jenkins said.  "I am hopeful that the housing market is moving in a positive direction and know that the building community is going to be a key component of the economic recovery in Massachusetts."
