Commercial real estate services firm CB Richard Ellis has grabbed the blue ribbon as the world’s largest property manager for the sixth year in a row from National Real Estate Investor magazine.

CB Richard Ellis beat out 24 other property managers in the publication’s July/August issue, which ranked the companies on the total amount of space under management globally as of Dec. 31. The company said it was managing 2.2 billion square feet of property and corporate facilities at the end of 2008.

CB Richard Ellis was recently honored in Banker & Tradesman‘s second annual readers’ poll as the top commercial real estate firm in New England.
