The owners of the Mill & Main complex in Maynard have named CBRE/New England as exclusive leasing agents for the property.

Saracen Properties LLC and Artemis Real Estate Partners are updating the 40-acre campus in an effort to attract the next generation of tenants. The 1.1 million-square-foot complex currently has up to 650,000 square feet available.

Saracen and Artemis acquired the complex in mid-2015 at a public auction and have begun a $20 million capital improvement program including new exterior plazas and landscaping, lobby and common area renovations, base building improvements and new food and fitness operators. A pedestrian bridge spanning Mill Pond will provide direct access to the primary parking lot, and a Battle Creek Brewing pub will open in late spring.

The new ownership signed its first major new tenant last summer, when Maynard-based Stratus Technologies leased 102,321 square feet.

The mill complex, built in the mid-1800s, was converted into the Digital Equipment headquarters in the early 1980s. It became a multitenant office park known as Clock Tower Place after its acquisition by Wellesley Capital Co. and Rosewood Construction in 1997. In recent years, the campus was the headquarters of online job recruiter Monster, which vacated 300,000 square feet in 2014 when it relocated to Weston.

The marketing and leasing efforts will be led by CBRE/NE’s Rob Walles, Bob McGuire, Sam Crossan and Alison Powers.
