Central Square Apartment Porfolio Sold For $8.7M

Somerville-based Columbia LLC has sold a 23-unit multifamily portfolio in Cambridge’s Central Square for $8.7 million.

The properties are located at 131-157 Columbia St., 200 Harvard St. and 220-22 Prospect St.

Executive Vice President Carl Christie and Assistant Vice Presidents Dan McGee and Henry Lieber of NAI Hunneman’s capital markets group represented the seller and procured the buyer, Columbia Prospect Family LP of West Palm Beach, Florida.

The listing drew significant interest given the relative scarcity of multifamily rental properties over 20 units in Cambridge, with only six such properties trading in the last two years, Christie said in a statement. The portfolio also includes four ground-floor storefronts.
