Clinton Savings Bank has opened a new branch in Shrewsbury, the bank’s seventh location in Worcester County.

Located at 200 Hartford Turnpike, the new branch opened to the public on March 20 following a ribbon-cutting ceremony with bank and local officials on March 16.

“We are thrilled to be expanding our footprint into the vibrant population of Shrewsbury,” Robert Paulhus Jr., president and CEO of Clinton Savings Bank, said in a statement. “As a community-focused financial institution, we believe our core values and relationship-based banking philosophy will meet the personal and business banking needs of Shrewsbury. We look forward to supporting the thriving commercial and small business enterprises, as well as the growing families that call Shrewsbury home.”

The new branch has an open design and functionality that Clinton Savings Bank said it plans to use in the future when building out its existing branches. The bank’s other branches are in Berlin, Bolton, Boylston, Clinton, Sterling and West Boylston. Clinton Savings Bank has about $700 million in assets.
