In this week’s Community Good Works roundup, banks and organizations donate to veterans and students across the state.  

 

The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce 

The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce has announced the 10 honorees of its annual award with City Awake, 2018 Ten Outstanding Young Leaders. The winners are Jared Banner, Taneshia Camillo-Sheffey, Derek Canton, Yolanda Coentro, Jenna Lebel, Dennis Magnasco, Geoffrey von Maltzahn, Elissa Spelman, Monica Wang and Alec Zadek. 

 

Webster Five  

The Webster Five Foundation has donated $6,000 to CASA Project Inc. to support volunteers and children in its programs. The foundation also donated $2,500 to Easter Seals Massachusetts to support services and empowerment for children and adults with disabilities. The bank also donated $2,000 to Family Health Center of Worcester Inc. for students from Claremont Academy and Woodland Academy to participate in a youth development program.  

 

Bank Five 

Bank Five of Fall River has awarded Greater Fall River RE-CREATION $10,000 to construct a Community & Wellness Center gym for local kids and adults.  

 

Hanscom Federal Credit Union 

Hanscom FCU Charitable Foundation sponsored a benefit gala for Home Base, donating $135,000 to support veterans, service members and their families.  

 

Clinton Savings Bank 

Clinton Savings Bank donated 1,000 backpacks to students who attended an event at the EcoTarium museum of science and nature to learn about safety and hygiene. The museum and Worcester Public Schools partner for the Countdown to Kindergarten event.
