Fitchburg-based IC Federal Credit Union will sponsor the Fitchburg Police Athletic League for Youth for the season.

Jack Conway
Jack Conway will make a $50 donation to one of six local charities for each home an agent puts under contract in November. This year’s beneficiaries are Father Bill’s & MainSpring, empowerHer, the Swampscott Historical Society, Project Hope Boston, Habitat for Humanity Cape Cod and Child & Family Services of New Bedford. Conway also donated the proceeds of its charity golf tournament, totaling $9,500, to Father Bill & MainSpring’s newly constructed housing project for the homeless in Brockton. The 3-story residence at 682 North Main St. contains 23 efficiency apartments for previously homeless individuals, with 12 units prioritized for U.S. military veterans.

Lowell Five
The Andrew J. Zabierek Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports the continuing education of Massachusetts veterans, is the recipient of the third quarter Lowell Five Charitable Giving Award.

MutualOne
Framingham-based MutualOne Charitable Foundation has awarded $5,000 to support a new Hoops & Homework community playground on Interfaith Terrace in Framingham. The existing Interfaith playground was deemed unsafe, out of compliance and was off-limits as recreation space until improvements were made.

North Shore Bank
North Shore Bank of Peabody donated $2,500 to the No Child Goes Hungry in Peabody weekend backpack program. The initiative provides elementary students between first and eighth grade whose families qualify for free school breakfast and lunch with backpacks containing enough food and snacks for the weekend.

The Village Bank
The Village Bank and the city of Newton are partnering for the 11th consecutive Holiday Gift Drive to help ensure that the upcoming season will be bright for all of the city’s children. Local residents, businesses, groups and organizations are encouraged to play an active role again this year with a generous donation of new, unwrapped gifts for children ages newborn to 10. The Village Bank’s Newton branches will accept donations through Dec. 10.
