BankFive, BayCoast Bank and Bristol County Savings Bank

Fall River-based BankFive, Swansea-based BayCoast Bank and Taunton-based Bristol County Savings Bank were among the largest donors to New Bedford’s Veterans Transition House $1.3 million capital campaign. Two buildings will be renovated to expand services for homeless veterans, and provide services and support to veterans living throughout Southern Massachusetts, and are scheduled to open in 2020.

MutualOne Bank

Framingham-based MutualOne Bank has awarded $5,000 to Bethany Hill Place, a living and learning community that combines affordable housing with a range of programs and activities to help families reach their full potential. The grant will support the Power of Parenting program designed to help residents gain skills and knowledge to increase their parenting skills and promote the healthy well-being of their children.

North Brookfield Savings Bank

North Brookfield Savings Bank recently hosted a successful, free Medicare information session at the Ye Olde Tavern in West Brookfield to assist those approaching Medicare eligibility.

Rockland Trust Co.

Boston-based Rockland Trust Co. recently commissioned Artists for Humanity, a Boston-based nonprofit youth arts enterprise, to create interactive paintings at the Rockland Trust Bank Pavilion this concert season, bridging the artistic divide between music and mural. Through its core programming, AFH employs over 250 urban teens as artists and designers each year during critical out-of-school hours, giving them the opportunity to participate in the creative process and collaborate with AFH’s professional art and design mentors. Its pioneering social enterprise produces innovative multimedia projects commissioned by businesses and individuals across Boston and beyond.
