Cornerstone Bank

Worcester-based Cornerstone Bank donated $1,500 to three different toy drives throughout Central Massachusetts during the holiday season.

Davis Malm

Boston law firm Davis Malm held a firm-wide charitable drive to collect winter coats and cold weather gear for the children of in-patient service men and women at Bedford Veterans Affairs Medical Center, ultimately gathering 90 donated coats along with additional cold weather gear.

Hanscom Federal Credit Union

Hanscom Federal Credit Union hosted its annual Holiday Raffle and raised a grand total of $16,600 this year. The annual event benefits A Bed for Every Child, an initiative of the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless. Contributions from Hanscom FCU employees totaled $8,300, which was matched by an $8,300 gift from the credit union. The donation will provide 66 beds for children in need in the Commonwealth.

Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union

For the second consecutive year, employees of Lowell-based Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union surprised shoppers with a Market Basket gift card and a Jeanne D’Arc tote bag to assist with their shopping as part of its 2019 Small Acts that Give Back initiative at the Fletcher Street Market Basket in Lowell.

The credit union also collected hundreds of toys to support Toys for Local Children, an organization that has gathered donated toys and provided them to struggling families, shelters and fire victims in Middlesex and Essex County.

MutualOne Bank

Bethany Hill Place has been awarded the Framingham-based MutualOne Bank Foundation’s annual $20,000 Robert P. Lamprey Community Grant. Bethany Hill Place is a living and learning community that combines affordable housing with a range of programs and activities to help families reach their full potential.

North Brookfield Savings Bank

North Brookfield Savings Bank collected over 2,900 toys from customers, community members and NBSB employees during a November and December drive. In addition, North Brookfield Savings Bank donated $1,750 to local toy programs to further help those in need during the holiday season.

North Shore Bank

Peabody-based North Shore Bank donated $1,900 to the Saugus Public Library that was raised by employees as part of their weekly “jeans day” program.

RTN Credit Union

Waltham-based RTN Credit Union made several donations this holiday season. In Waltham, RTN adopted eight Waltham children, working with the organization Healthy Waltham to support Africano Waltham, a local program that supports young children of African immigrants. RTN employees provided gifts that were on the Wish Lists of the children, ages 8 to 11. There are approximately fifty youth enrolled in the Program, with kids ranging in age from 4 years old to teenagers. In the Merrimack Valley area, RTN branch managers made a $350 donation to the Wish Project to help those who are setting up apartments after homelessness and to provide food and clothing to those in need.
