Hyannis-based Cape Cod 5 donated $25,000 to Cape and Islands Veterans Outreach Center to help fund its new Veterans Home in Dennis, as well as a continuation of its annual donation drive in support of active duty military serving overseas.
City Realty Group
Boston-based City Realty Group has made another donation of Chromebooks to city public school students in need. The apartment landlord and developer donated 10 of the laptops to students at the Eliot K-8 Innovation School in Boston’s North End.
The Green Co.
Newton-based real estate firm The Green Co. donated a parcel of land to allow Lifeworks Inc., a provider of supportive housing for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, to build and open a 5-bedroom group home in Westwood. The Green Co. is currently developing The Homes at 45, a townhome condominium project for residents 55 years and up.
IC Credit Union
Fitchburg-based IC Credit Union donated $4,000 to the Devens-based Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry. The credit union also gave $4,000 to the Old Murdock Senior Center Food Pantry in Winchendon.
Naveo Credit Union
Somerville-based Naveo Credit Union raised $300 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society during their Costumed for a Cure event. Naveo raised funds at their branches in a little over a week and then matched the total donation amount.
North Easton Savings Bank
North Easton Savings Bank donated $5,000 to six local organizations, including the local Habitat for Humanity organization, a local food bank and an animal shelter, as part of its annual ‘A World for Good’ campaign, which gives community members an opportunity to vote for organizations up for donations.
Turner Construction Co.
Revere-based Turner Construction Co. organized a food drive, called the “Mac Attack,” which collected over 1,500 boxes of macaroni and cheese to the Revere Veteran’s Service Office, an organization that services over 400 families throughout the city of Revere.
South Shore Bank
Weymouth-based South Shore Bank dedicated the $500,000 in net proceeds it received from processing Paycheck Protection Program loans to a new fund that will help South Shore residents struggling to make their rent and mortgage payments due to COVID-19.
South Shore Realtors
South Shore Realtors donated $2,000 to Scituate-based Learn Live Love, which pays housing-related expenses for cancer patients at risk of eviction or foreclosure.
