Bristol County Savings Bank

Taunton-based Bristol County Savings Bank awarded $323,088 in grants to 45 area nonprofits including $15,000 to the Hockomock Area YMCA in North Attleboro, $15,000 to St. Vincent’s Services in Fall River, $7,500 to Girls Inc. of Taunton and $5,060 to the Coastal Foodshed in New Bedford.

Cape Cod 5

Orleans-based Cape Cod 5 gave $50,000 to 143 teachers at 56 schools across Cape Cod via 111 mini-grants. The grants will fund creative projects that teachers will use to inspire, challenge and empower students in the region.

Citizens Bank

Rhode Island-based Citizens Bank announced it will sponsor Girls Who Code’s Summer Immersion Program, a free two-week virtual program where participants will learn to code in a supportive environment, gaining critical leadership skills. The SIP virtual program will serve as many as 6,000 students around the world.

DCU

Marlborough-based Digital Federal Credit Union, also known as DCU, announced it is sponsoring the EVERFI Financial Literacy Bee for the second consecutive year. The Bee is comprised of a four-part online course and an essay contest, where students will have the opportunity to win up to $10,000 in college scholarships. The cost of DCU’s sponsorship was not disclosed.

MutualOne Bank

Framingham-based MutualOne Bank donated $10,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest to support their Framingham-based academic recovery and summer reading programs.
