Bank of America gave $200,000 to Boston’s Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology, a private, nonprofit college focused on low- and moderate-income minority students. The gift also comes with leadership training for the executive director and an emerging leader on topics ranging from increasing financial sustainability, human capital management and strategic storytelling

Executives from Rhode Island-based Citizens will present a new car to the widow of a Dorchester soldier, Cpl. Edgardo Zayas, who was killed in Baghdad during the U.S. occupation of Iraq in 2006.

Ware-based Country Bank gave $20,000 to the Springfield Rescue Mission, a provider of meals and other food resources to individuals and families in need in the Greater Springfield area.

Woburn-based commercial real estate firm Cummings gave $20 million to Beverly’s Endicott College to build a new school of nursing.
Freedom Credit Union
Springfield-based Freedom Credit Union staff raised $4,191 to support the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
Marcus Partners
A team of 25 employees from Boston-based commercial real estate firm Marcus Partners kicked off Rebuilding Together Boston’s 30th anniversary celebration by transforming the back yard, basement and kitchen for Ardell Mitchell, a 78-year old Boston resident who struggles with health issues.
MutualOne Bank
Framingham-based MutualOne Bank gave $1,000 to the Natick Center Assoc. to support the creation and installation of a large, public mosaic in town.
The bank also gave $5,000 to the MetroWest Conference for Women to support their 2021 conference.
Naveo Credit Union
Somerville-based Naveo Credit Union employees raised $1,200 for Boston Children’s Hospital through its Miracle Jeans Day initiative.
