Swansea-based BayCoast Bank surprised seven nursing students from Fall River and New Bedford each with a $10,000 scholarship, which will help pay for their education at the Brockton Hospital School of Nursing.

City Realty

Boston-based multifamily developer and landlord City Realty donated 11 new Chromebooks to Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Boston to support its Parishes Organized to Welcome Immigrants and Refugees (POWIR) and its Afghan Resettlement Program, via the company’s City Kids nonprofit.

IBEW Local 103

Electrical workers’ union IBEW Local 103 donated a branded work van full of tools to Boston’s Madison Park Vocational Technical School for use in educating students.

HMFH

Boston architectural firm endowed a scholarship for students of color, first-generation college students and people with disabilities studying at the Boston Architectural College. The scholarship will support two students per year in their first and second years at BAC.

Martha’s Vineyard Bank 

Edgartown-based Martha’s Vineyard Bank announced its foundation donated $109,681 donated to local nonprofit organizations in the fourth quarter of last year, for a year-end total of $827,241 donations to over 180 groups.

People’s United Bank

Connecticut-based People’s United Bank made a $6,500 donation to Harvard-based Community Harvest Project, a hunger relief organization, via the bank’s foundation.

The bank’s foundation also made a $6,000 to support Fitchburg-based NewVue Communities’ Tenant Resiliency Eviction Prevention Program.
