Bank of America

Bank of America donated $250,000 to Boston-based youth homelessness services nonprofit Bridge Over Troubled Waters. The gift will help the nonprofit grow its behavioral and mental health counseling, life skills development, transitional housing, academic support and career development for homeless and at-risk youth in the Boston area.

BayCoast Bank 

Swansea-based BayCoast Bank established a scholarship in its name at the nonprofit West Place Animal Sanctuary in Tiverton, Rhode Island. The scholarship will be awarded to a student enrolled in West Place’s educational internship program, which provides local high school and college students with an immersive, hands-on experience working with rescued farm animals and injured or orphaned wildlife.

The bank also gave $1,000 to Project Undercover, a Rhode Island non-profit organization dedicated to assisting children living in poverty. The grant will help purchase basic necessities including diapers, wipes, socks, and underwear for newborns to seven-year-olds

Rockland Trust Co.

Hanover-based Rockland Trust Co. donated $25,000 to Quincy Community Action Programs Inc. through the bank’s foundation. The money will support the renovation and expansion of the QCAP’s Southwest Community Food Center. The building, which serves nutritious meals to residents across Norfolk County, will triple in square footage, be equipped with a loading dock for food transportation and create space to house other QCAP services including housing, energy programs and childcare assistance.

Rollstone Bank & Trust

Leominster-based Rollstone Bank & Trust donated $10,000 to the Central & Western MA Chapter of the American Red Cross of Massachusetts, to provide support to its Home Fire Campaign to battle the disastrous effects of home fires.

RTN Federal Credit Union 

Waltham-based RTN Federal Credit Union and its foundation recently hosted a virtual two-part series on “Money Management” and “Saving and Investment Basics” for Waltham High School Business Club students and Our Lady’s Academy eighth-grade students.
