CCUA Metro/Boston Chapter
Sophia Nguyen, a member of the of Waltham-based RTN Federal Credit Union, is a winner of this year’s Cooperative Credit Union Association Credit Union College Scholarship Program. She was one of 15 high school seniors who received a $1,500 scholarship through the CCUA’s College Scholarship Contest and earned the CCUA’s Metro/Boston Chapter award.
Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union
Lowell-based Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union awarded $19,500 in scholarships to its members through its MoneyStrong and Employee College Scholarship Programs.
KeyBank
On June 7, More than 50 Greater Springfield area employees joined their KeyBank coworkers across the nation in leaving their offices to volunteer for various Western Massachusetts nonprofits. KeyBank closed the majority of its branches to enable employees to complete more than 16,000 community service hours in a single day.
Newburyport Bank
Newburyport Bank has made a donation through its foundation of $250,000 to the Salisbury Beach Partnerships’ Fund for the restoration and the recreation of the Historical Carousel.
