Boston-based construction firm Suffolk hosted 22 Girl Scouts from Camp Cedar Hill in Waltham for a day of learning about the world of construction and the importance of female representation in the industry. The scouts designed and built structures that could support the weight of at least one book – using only popsicle sticks and clothespins.

BayCoast Bank 

Attleboro-based BayCoast Bank donated a $10,000 Foundation Scholarship to Old Colony Habitat for Humanity and its 2022 Attleboro Home Build. 

Direct Federal Credit Union 

Needham-based Direct Federal Credit Union recently announced the recipients of its 2022 scholarship program. The scholarship is a $3,000 per year scholarship, for up to four years, and includes the option of a paid internship at the Credit Union each summer. 

East Cambridge Savings Bank 

East Cambridge Savings Bank recently made a $10,000 donation to Chelsea affordable housing nonprofit The Neighborhood Developers. The donation directly supports TND programming and sponsors the organization’s annual “Raise the Roof” event.
