Cape Cod 5 

Hyannis-based bank Cape Cod 5 announced the distribution of $122,556 in “mini-grants” to 300 teachers from 83 local schools across Cape Cod, the Islands and Southeastern Massachusetts. The money will fund educational projects the teachers have developed covering topics like digital innovation, community advocacy and civic engagement, diversity and inclusion, social emotional learning, environmental sustainability and sensory engagement.

Workers from real estate investor and investment manager Columbia Threadneedle’s Boston office volunteered with the National Braille Press to assemble 450 braille copies of the children’s book “Paddington” to mark Read Across America Day.

Ironworkers Local 7, one of Boston’s largest construction unions, joined with several city councilors and community organizations to donate and deliver more than $10,000 worth of school supplies to Boston students, teachers and families as part of an annual campaign.
