Central One Federal Credit Union, based in Shrewsbury, gave $500 to the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office annual winter coat drive.

Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union

Lowell’s Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union distributed an unspecified amount of money from a fund established in memory of a longtime employee who died in 2016. The recipients were Greater Lowell YMCA, the town of Chelmsford Scholarship Committee, Girls Inc. of Greater Lowell, Lazarus House Ministries and Marguerite’s Place.

Merrimack Valley Credit Union 

Lawrence-based Merrimack Valley Credit Union donated $30,000 to Emmaus Inc. in Haverhill. Emmaus is a nonprofit that provides emergency shelter and affordable housing to families and individuals facing homelessness.

Monson Saving Bank

Monson Saving Bank announced it gave $1,000 to Greater Springfield Habitat for Humanity.

Newburyport Bank 

Newburyport Bank donated $25,000 through its foundation to The Pettengill House Inc., a major social services provider in the Newburyport area.

The bank also gave $5,000 through its foundation to the Maudlsay Arts Center to fund concerts on the center’s grounds and another $5,000 to Gather, a provider of mobile food markets aimed at “the most vulnerable” residents of New Hampshire’s Seacoast region.

North Shore Bank 

Peabody-based North Shore Bank gave $25,000 to the Peabody Education Foundation to support a mental health initiative for Peabody Public Schools students.

Wells Fargo

San Francisco-based Wells Fargo Bank’s foundation gave a $3.45 million grant to Compass Working Capital, a nonprofit working in Boston, Philadelphia and other cities to help families living in federally owned affordable housing leverage income increases provided by its Family Self-Sufficiency program and corresponding rent increase into a savings account that can be used to achieve their goals, such as purchasing a home, investing in education, or even starting a business.
