Shrewsbury-based Central One Credit Union donated $1,000 each to 15 charities from Ahimsa Animal Rescue to Why Me & Sherry’s House, picked by winners at the lender’s annual, casino-themed employee holiday party.

IC Credit Union

Fitchburg’s IC Credit Union announced $15,000 in donations to 48 Central Massachusetts nonprofits picked or nominated by credit union members and staff.

Metro Credit Union

Chelsea-based Metro Credit Union gave a total of $55,000 to six nonprofits across Eastern Massachusetts:

  • Bread & Roses Community Kitchen, Lawrence – $10,000, Emergency Food Pantry Program
  • Italian Home for Children, Jamaica Plain – $10,000, Empowering Low-Income and Behavioral Health Workforce Program
  • LEAP for Education Inc., Salem – $10,000, Youth Leadership Council
  • Midas Collaborative, Boston – $10,000, Matched Savings
  • Mosaic: Interfaith Youth Action, Medford and Dorchester – $5,000, Circles of Action Program
  • The Real Program, Lynn – $10,000, Little Free Library Campaign

Monson Savings Bank

Monson Savings Bank donated $2,500 to I Found Light Against All Odds, a mentorship program that serves youth at risk of poverty, homelessness, abuse and educational struggles.
