Arbella Insurance

The Arbella Insurance Foundation raised more than $158,000 in its eighth “Let’s Drive Out Hunger” campaign. The campaign centers on a matching gift program in which Arbella matches donations made by their independent agents. Additionally, 421 Arbella employees, family members and friends walked in Project Bread’s annual Walk for Hunger for the ninth year in a row on May 1, contributing $27,000.

 

Commerce Bank

Commerce Bank presented a $2,500 donation to Worcester Common Ground Inc., a community development corporation whose mission is to promote and develop permanent and sustainable improvement in the neighborhoods of Central Worcester.

 

Florence Bank

Florence Bank has contributed $25,000 to the Springfield Rescue Mission, one of the oldest human service agencies in the Greater Springfield area.

 

HarborOne

HarborOne awarded three prizes totaling $4,500 to three small business entrepreneurs as part of their first Small Business Pitch Contest, hosted by HarborOne U.

 

Leominster Credit Union

Leominster Credit Union will act as the premier sponsor for Leominster’s Starburst 2016 festival, providing $8,000 in funding. LCU also provided $1,000 to sponsor the Veterans Traveling Wall Memorial scheduled for this November at Carter Park.

 

MutualOne Bank

MutualOne Charitable Foundation has awarded $6,500 to MetroWest Legal Services (MWLS).

Based in Framingham, MWLS provides free legal advocacy in civil cases to protect and advance the rights of the poor, elderly, disabled, homeless and other disenfranchised individuals.
