MutualOne Foundation awarded $3,000 to the Parents Association of the Handicapped, the Natick Recreation and Parks Department and Camp Arrowhead to provide camperships for families requiring financial assistance.

East Cambridge Savings Bank, Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union and Pentucket Bank are among the organizations giving back to their communities this week.

 

Berkshire Bank

Berkshire Bank has awarded three employees as top volunteers through its Volunteer X-ellence Awards Program – Matt Nicholl, Dan Elias and LeeAnn Morrone. Each received a $1,000 donation made on their behalf to the nonprofit of their choice. Additionally, the bank admitted 31 employees to their Community Service Honor Roll, signifying a minimum of 150 hours of volunteer service in the last calendar year.

 

Commerce Bank

Commerce Bank donated $5,000 toward the “I Am, We Are” outdoor public mural that was recently unveiled at 51 Brookline Ave. in Boston by the Art Resource Collaborative for Kids.

 

East Cambridge Savings Bank

East Cambridge Savings Bank recently announced the winners of its 10th annual creative design contest in which students from the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School created educational posters about identity theft. Students Anne Pierre won the first place prize of $100; Billy Nichols earned the second place prize of $50; and Jarayd Wallace received the third place prize of $25. The winning designs will be distributed at the bank’s branches, community events and financial literacy presentations.

 

Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union

Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union recently donated $1,500 to benefit the Army Specialist Mathew G. Boule Memorial Park Fund. The fund will assist in building a memorial park in Dracut to honor  Boule, a Dracut resident who was the first Massachusetts casualty of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

 

Middlesex Savings Bank

Middlesex Savings Bank announced its foundation awarded a total of $325,500 to 20 nonprofit organizations based in Eastern and Central Massachusetts in its first cycle of 2016 grant awards.

North Shore Bank recently distributed a $2,200 check to benefit The Pettengill House. The organization works to support and empower children and families by providing education, comprehensive case management and basic needs.

 

Pentucket Bank

Pentucket Bank presented a check for $5,000 to the YWCA Haverhill on July 6. The bank will be the premier sponsor of the YWCA Haverhill’s 27th Annual Tribute to Women, set for October 27 at DiBurro’s. The Tribute to Women honors outstanding women and is also the YWCA’s main fundraising event.

 

The Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank

The Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank recently donated $5,000 through its foundation to Calmer Choice, a program committed to teaching young people how to effectively and safely manage stress and resolve conflict with the goal of helping them to live happy, healthy and successful lives.

 

Webster Five

Webster Five Foundation recently donated $3,000 to Jeremiah’s Inn to support its nutrition center which feeds over 12,250 low-income South Worcester residents a year.
