The bank has contributed $10,000 to NewVue Communities, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating strong and healthy neighborhoods where residents choose to live, work, and invest.
NewVue’s goal is to create long-term solutions by strengthening the sustainability of the entire region.
Country Bank
Country is supporting Hearts for Heat in North Brookfield with a donation of $2,500. Hearts for Heat is a community-based charitable organization dedicated to providing assistance for heat to qualified residents of North Brookfield. Country Bank has donated $11,000 to the local chapter since 2013.
SpencerBANK and Southbridge Savings Bank
SpencerBANK and Southbridge Savings Bank employees recently teamed up by holding another Denim Day fundraising event. Employees collected $750, which was donated to the Power of One Campaign benefiting Harrington Recovery Services, a behavioral health initiative of Harrington Hospital.
Workers Credit Union
Workers Credit Union marked the New Year with a $3.3 million payout, the fourth year in a row it has rewarded members for doing business with the community-based credit union. The funds were deposited this month into members’ accounts, based on account and loan balances during 2016.
