Merger May Be On Horizon For Dedham Savings

Charles River Bank, Fairway Mortgage Corp. and Southbridge Savings Bank are among the organizations featured in this week’s roundup of charitable announcements.

 

Bridgewater Savings Bank

Bridgewater Savings Bank announced that its charitable foundation has made a donation of $1,500 to Heidrea for Heroes, a nonprofit organization that provides support services to military men and women upon their return to civilian life.

 

Bristol County Savings Bank

Bristol County Savings Bank announced it will sponsor the 4th Annual Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts Titan Business Challenge, a business strategy competition for high school students.

 

Charles River Bank

Charles River Bank recently presented a donation to Tony Khoury in support of his Saturday Night Live Fundraiser event on April 28 at the Coachman’s Lodge in Bellingham. All proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards The Oliva Fund at the Milford Regional Health Foundation.

 

Dedham Institution for Savings

Dedham Institution for Savings Foundation donated $2,500 to OUT MetroWest to help fund its Nexus Program, an educational, social and supportive program for LGBTQ and allied youth in grades six, seven and eight.

 

Fairway Independent Mortgage Corp.

Fairway Independent Mortgage Corp. recently participated in iCycle 2017, an outdoor spin class held in Boston. The annual event supports HomeStart, a Boston-based nonprofit that helps homeless individuals and families find and stay in permanent housing.

 

Marlborough Savings Charitable Foundation

Marlborough Savings Charitable Foundation recently awarded a $5,000 grant to the Addiction Referral Center in Marlborough.

 

Southbridge Savings Bank

Southbridge Savings Bank’s Charitable Donations Committee announced its recent donation of $2,500 to Worcester Community Housing Resources Inc. to help local families in need of housing. The bank’s charitable donations committee also donated $2,500 to the Tri-Community Exchange Club to support the recognition of local residents through several of the club’s programs.
