Belmont Savings Bank
The Belmont Savings Bank Foundation has announced a $30,000 grant competition as part of its charitable giving initiative in Watertown that will allow local residents to nominate charities that will then be eligible for a donation based on voting.
The nomination deadline is May 20. After that, all approved organizations will have a 20-day period to drive voting, which will take place on the Foundation website.
Bridgewater Savings Bank
Bridgewater Savings Bank has donated $1,440 to the East Bridgewater Public Library’s summer reading program.
Citizens Bank
Citizens Bank donated $35,000 to the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts as part of the bank’s Citizens Helping Citizens Manage Money Initiative.
Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod
The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod has joined HopeHealth as a flagship sponsor of the upcoming Walk for Alzheimer’s. The 23rd annual event will take place on May 17 along the Cape Cod Canal.
Greylock Federal Credit Union
Pittsfield-based Greylock Federal Credit Union held its Youth Week 2015 from April 18 to 25, themed “Wild About Saving.” The annual event fosters financial education among young people in Berkshire County through activities designed to enhance skills for managing money and saving.
MutualOne Bank
The MutualOne Charitable Foundation has awarded $5,000 to Saint Bridget School in Framingham to upgrade its technology infrastructure, including installing wireless access points and the purchasing new licensing agreements for the school’s 17 SMART Boards.
Partners Insurance Group
Partners Insurance Group LLC will host a Shred Day on May 16, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at its Swansea location at 560 Wilbur Ave. The event is open to the public with shredding service offered at no cost. Individuals may bring up to two bankers boxes of materials of documents to be shredded on site.
SpencerBANK
SpencerBANK employees recently raised $315 to support cancer patients as part of the Rally for the Jimmy Fund in conjunction with Red Sox Opening Day on April 13. Employees were given the opportunity to wear Red Sox apparel in exchange for a $5 donation to the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
