Liberty Wharf renderingBoston-based Congress Wealth Management has leased 3,650 square feet of office space on the third floor of South Boston’s new three-building waterfront complex – the Liberty Wharf – on Northern Avenue.

The74,000-square-foot, mixed-use complex on Boston Harbor has 28,000 square feet of office space and 45,000 square feet of restaurant space, according to a statement. Liberty Wharf, which sits on 1.5 acres of Massachusetts Port Authority land, is a LEED-certifiable project with energy and water-conserving features.

Liberty Wharf owner and developer Cresset Development was represented by Jones Lang LaSalle in the lease transaction. Congress Wealth Management was represented by Richard Lowe of CresaPartners.

"It is very exciting to see a continuous trend of new development on Boston’s Waterfront," said Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino. "The innovative architecture and design of Liberty Wharf will enliven Boston’s Innovation District with a wide variety of dining options, new companies and sections of Boston’s Harborwalk."

Other Liberty Wharf tenants include fama PR and restaurant operator the Cronin Group, according to a statement. The complex is 90 percent leased or committed.
